Holiday lighting for homes, businesses & communities across the Miami Valley

Simple Bright Lights crew and red trailer installing holiday lights at a home

Family-owned · Built in Ohio

Christmas lights started it.A bucket truck changed everything.

Simple Bright Lights began in fall 2020 with a practical idea: create meaningful winter work while helping local families bring more Christmas cheer home—without spending the season on ladders. What came next shaped far more than one seasonal business.

The real origin story

The lights came first. The sign businesses followed.

The equipment purchased for Christmas lighting work created an opportunity during the other nine months of the year. A few local sign installations grew into national installation work, then sign production and two family-owned businesses: Vantage Signs and Sign Service Pro.

  1. Fall 2020

    A winter-season idea

Simple Bright Lights began as a way to keep a small part-time crew working when Ohio temperatures brought seasonal exterior cleaning to a stop.

  2. The next step

Lighting created the need for a bucket truck

Holiday lighting grew quickly. Reaching larger homes and more ambitious displays meant investing in the equipment to do the work well.

  3. After the season

One truck opened a new door

When the lights came down, that bucket truck led to sign installations for local shops, then national sign companies, and eventually sign production of our own.

  4. Today

    Three specialties that work together

Simple Bright Lights, Vantage Signs, and Sign Service Pro now combine thoughtful design, production knowledge, specialized equipment, and experienced field crews.

Family-owned on both sides

Built by a family.Backed by two businesses.

Simple Bright Lights, Vantage Signs, and Sign Service Pro are family-owned by Trevor and Sarah Lavy. Each has a distinct role, but all three share the same commitment to capable work, responsive service, and taking care of customers.

Simple Bright Lights operates as a service of Vantage Signs, which supports the design and operating side of the work. Sign Service Pro provides the field crews, labor, and equipment that bring the displays to life. For the customer, that means one thoughtfully managed holiday-lighting experience with serious capability behind it.

Experience before the first strand

Comfortable at height.Prepared for complexity.

Before Simple Bright Lights, its owner worked as an electric-utility lineman and later as a safety-training instructor and consultant. Electrical troubleshooting, aerial work, bucket trucks, cranes, and heavy equipment are not seasonal add-ons here—they are part of the team's professional foundation.

  • Experienced overhead and aerial-access crews
  • Electrical troubleshooting knowledge
  • Bucket trucks, lifts, and cranes for difficult access
  • Planning experience for unique and large-scale displays

The service promise

Sometimes we fix itbefore you know it's out.

Once you choose Simple Bright Lights, the goal is for the season to feel hands-off. If a bulb or section stops shining, the team aims to address in-season service within one to two days—even on tall or access-intensive properties.

The team also conducts nighttime patrols throughout the season, checking customer displays for issues. Sometimes the first sign of a problem is the service crew arriving to repair something the customer had not noticed yet.
