How It Started
A sign project opened the door. The quality of the work kept it open.
The relationship began with Vantage Signs refreshing signage around the Von Maur building at The Greene Town Center. The customer was so pleased with the finished work that the conversation expanded to the lighting already installed around the building.
When the team explained that Simple Bright Lights is a service of Vantage Signs, the connection clicked. Von Maur asked whether the lighting team could inspect and prepare the permanent system for the 2025 Christmas season.
What began as a signage project became a complete lighting readiness assignment: test the system around the building, identify failures, and replace more than 500 bulbs so the architectural outline would perform as intended.
The Original Assignment
The work thatstarted the conversation.
Before the Christmas-lighting request, Vantage Signs and Sign Service Pro completed exterior signage work around the Von Maur building. The quality of that project gave the customer confidence to ask what else the team could handle.

From Existing System to Holiday Ready
Inspect every section.Restore the complete effect.
Survey the Building
Review the permanent lighting across the uniquely shaped façade and plan access around the active property.
Test the System
Work section by section to identify bulbs that would keep the architectural outline from displaying correctly.
Replace at Scale
Use the 135-foot boom lift to reach difficult elevations and replace more than 500 bulbs across the building.
Verify the Finish
Check the restored lighting so the building is prepared before the Christmas shopping season begins.
The Access Challenge
A complex façade. An active shopping center.
Von Maur's varied rooflines and architectural details make portions of the permanent lighting difficult to reach—even with a 135-foot boom lift on site.
The Sign Service Pro crew also had to maneuver that equipment around the building and parking garage while the shopping center remained open to the public. Work was scheduled in October to limit disruption before the heavier Christmas shopping season.
The Architectural Effect
The work disappears. The building comes alive.
A permanent lighting system only feels complete when the full outline works together. Restoring hundreds of individual bulbs returned a continuous warm-white rhythm to the building's varied rooflines and façades.

The Finished Result
More than 500 bulbs. One continuous finish.
A two-person Sign Service Pro crew completed the testing and replacement work over three days in October 2025, ahead of the busiest part of the holiday retail season.
The building entered the season with its permanent Christmas lighting restored, and the team anticipates returning to support the display again in 2026.
